What's in a name?

Okay so here I am again. With great power comes great responsibility, so I am blogging away.

So, I thought that "Sit Ubu Sit. Good Blog." would be great and originally funny. But it seems that I have been beaten to the punch by a Family Ties blog. Nothing too interesting on it, and they really don't use it except for the site's URL, but I don't want to be a copycat (or dog, or blog). I know I don't want to compete with Alex P. Keaton information. There are just some things that can't be overcome. Like 80s sitcoms. Burned into our minds forever. Bosom Buddies Blog? Uhhhhmmm...no. Imagine what would come up in search engines for that one. Or try it yourself! Google Seach: Bosom Buddies Blog. Wow. Who would have thought it would be relevant. I bow down before your Googleness.

UPDATE: Yikes!

Now, here I sit trying to come up with an original, catchy name, without much luck. Why didn't I start this earlier? I was one of the first 1000 on AOL, one of the first 1000 on Hotmail, could have registered mcdonalds.com at the beginning and made some money - when did I fall so far behind the technology curve? I used to be so cutting edge. I guess it's called having a real job. So overrated.

So I think I'm going to have to give this a little more thought, as well as figuring out what I'm going to do with myself here. I'm sure all none of you reading this are very amused.

Guess that's it until tomorrow. Who knows what this blog will be named then!!! All none of you are on the edge of your seat I'm sure!

What am I doing here?

Okay, so I have no idea what I am going to blog about or how this is going to change my life. I'm just a simple guy living in Houston trying to make my way the only way I know how (obvious bow to the Dukes of Hazzard). I'm going to muddle my way through this and if I hit on anything that anyone cares about that would make this place interesting, let me know and I'll do more with it. I promise not to talk about what I ate this morning or how many times I go to the bathroom in a given day. Obviously the celebrity gossip is way overdone, so I'm going to stay away from that.

The advice I was given was to try something and see if it works. Well this is me. Trying. I do need to upgrade this horrid color scheme. That may be the first thing to do. Design is one of my hobbies. I have been working with a very talented designer who was responsible for the W Hotels brand, and I'm sure if she saw this I would endure an enormous amount of ribbing.

But hey, it's started. It's open for business. So I guess I have accomplished my first feat for the day. That's it, I'm out.
