Apathy
Okay, so I'm apathetic to the whole blog posting thing today so I have not posted until now...expecially since Blogger was having issues this morning.
It's HOT here. 87 degrees in the car earlier. It's way too early for that. I'm not one who likes to sweat, so why do I live in Houston? ....Bueller?
Not much going on. Can't help but mention that I am an American Idol fan, and I am looking forward to tonight, and I am a huge dork. Vote for Will Makar. Houston boy. Gotta win (won't, but he's gotta!). You must vote for the pasty white boy. You must vote for the pasty white boy.
All hope is not lost for the day, as I'm almost done at work (yes, I do this while I'm at work. For shame!). Life is looking up, old clients coming back on board, new clients lining up at the door (well, not quite yet). I'm optimistic.
So, I've been reading on Steve Pavlina's Personal Development Blog about this polyphasic sleep routine...where you never sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time and, after a while your body gets used to it, and you only need 2-3 hours of sleep per day. Intriguing. He says his mind is more settled, he is more productive and LESS tired than he was when he was sleeping monophasically (once a day, 8 hours normally). I think I just may be weird enough to give this a try. Think of it - sure, you have to go to your crappy job for 10 hours a day anyway, but then you have a whole 10-12 hours to yourself to do what you want to do! Interesting, and his experiment seems to be successful. More thought is needed, and discussion with the fiance! Imagine getting married and then finding out that your husband doesn't sleep...
So, Krispy Kreme is closing down in Houston because of some franchisee dispute, so I went over there this morning and got three dozen doughnuts. Being from North Carolina and remembering the intial shock to my system when I couldn't have Krispy Kreme at all, I am now gorging on them. One dozen today so far. What will I do? Oh yeah, Shipley Donuts are really good. So any out of towners who are looking for the KK replacement, Shipley is great!
With that said, I am out...for number 13 and 14 for the day.
